ndrea Lee, a rising LPGA Tour-star is highlighted by her debut victory at the Portland Classic of 2022. Lee has had success at every level including at Standford University earning 9 wins during her collegiate career and playing for 17 weeks as the #1 Women's Amateur in the World. In the wake of winning the Mark H. McCormack Award as the best-ranked Women's Amateur in the world after the end of the 2019 season, Lee decided to go pro. Andrea Lee was born in Los Angeles on 15 August 1998. James his father, James taught her how to play golf when she was five years old. In four years she won 50 junior titles. She managed to make the cut in this year's US Women's Open, held at Pinehurst No. aged 15 with her dad alongside her as caddie. The sponsors invited her to compete at the 2015. ANA Inspiration LPGA Tour, but she did not make it to the cut. Lee was a member of the USA's Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup as well as the women's World Amateur Team Championship. When she first joined Stanford University in 2016, Lee became the school's most decorated player at that point. Lee won 9 titles over the course of three years. Lee completed her studies at Stanford University in 2019 and was a professional. Her record as an amateur included 17 weeks on the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee was also awarded an award in 2019: the Mark H. McCormack Medal after finishing the season with the highest ranking amateur. Lee was a top amateur who scored four albatrosses as well as four holes-in-1. Lee was ranked in Top 10 once in her first year on LPGA Tour. She was 7th at the AIG Women's Open in 2020 that was played on Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee's first LPGA Tour victory came in 2022 in the Portland Classic. The winner dedicated it to her great-grandfather Min who passed away in 2012. Min was constantly calling me a winner and believe that I was a winner.
